How it works

Three steps from noise to calm

  1. 1

    Match it

A five-minute guided match plays short beeps and asks simple questions: higher or lower, how loud, clean whistle or fuzzy hiss. Up to four sounds per ear.

  2. 2

    Shape your relief

TinniMix builds a sound aimed at each tone you matched. Blend in rain, ocean, a fan or a quiet train, and set it just under your tinnitus.

  3. 3

    Live your life

Mark how your days go, notice what helps, and reach for slow breathing and kind words when it spikes.

The sound

A sound built around
your tinnitus

Discover what it sounds like

Listen in the gaps between beeps, where you hear only your own tinnitus, and nudge the pitch until it matches. It matches steady or wavering tones, hisses and hums, in each ear separately.

Relief, one tap away

Press play and your mix starts, tuned to what you matched. Master Volume is capped at a safe level, and a live spectrum shows your sound with an orange line at your tinnitus pitch. It keeps playing with the screen locked.

A layer for each sound

Each layer is aimed at one of your tinnitus sounds – up to four. Volume, pitch and bandwidth sit right on the card; a power button turns one off without losing its settings.

From pure tone to soft noise

Slide from a pure tone at your pitch to a soft band of noise around it. Pick the noise color – white, pink, brown, blue, violet – or a ready-made masking style like Hiss Cover, Ring Blend or Deep Hum Relief.

Sound that moves like yours

Some tinnitus wanders. Pitch Motion and Volume Motion let a layer drift and swell. Or switch to Custom, touch the pad and trace how yours moves – it loops your own pattern.

Carve a quiet gap

Advanced controls allow for additional features and fine-tuning of the sounds. Every control has a small ⓘ that explains it in plain words.

Soundscapes that blend in

Layer real recordings – rain on a tent, a waterfall, a night train – or tuned sounds that follow your pitch, like crickets that chirp right at your pitch or chimes that ring softly around it.

Keep what works

Save whole mixes, just your tinnitus sounds or just your soundscapes. Start from ready-made presets for every pitch range, heart your favorites, and see what the community likes best.

Try it here

Hear it for yourself

Press play and move the pitch until the tone sounds like your tinnitus. Then press That’s my pitch to turn it into soft masking noise, try a few masking styles, and add some soundscapes – a small taste of what TinniMix can do.

Add soundscapes

Tap a power button to add a sound, on its own or with your tone.

See your week at a glance

TinniTracker lets you mark each hour as low, medium or high with a tap or a drag. Hours you played relief get a green outline, so patterns jump out. A gentle evening reminder helps you keep it going.

After a week or so, what seems to help compares your calmer days with the rest.

When it's hard

Help with a tough moment

One button press opens a slow breathing exercise with calming sounds and kind words over a moving visual. Afterwards it asks how you are, and lets you keep the sound on, write a note, or talk to someone.

The Help section also has short mind-calming exercises – grounding, muscle relaxation, a calm place, mindful listening, acceptance, focus shifting – and plain-language lessons in coping skills. Free, confidential help lines for your country are always one tap away.

Calm for the eyes too

34 slow, calming visuals

Candles, jellyfish, koi, aurora, a fractal zoom and flights through space, all moving gently with your sound, in a choice of color moods. Night mode dims everything for sleep.
