TinniMix Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy
Last updated: 12 October 2026
This policy explains how Masterclass Multimedia LLC ("we", "us") handles consumer health data in the TinniMix app. It is provided under Washington's My Health My Data Act and Nevada's consumer health data law. Our general Privacy Policy is at https://tinnimix.com/privacy.
Health data we collect, and why
We collect consumer health data only if you join the TinniMix community or write to us.
- What you post in the community: presets you share (and, if you turn it on, a short description of your tinnitus such as "High, tonal"), comments, treatment stories, messages of encouragement and ideas. These can describe your tinnitus, your hearing, your symptoms and treatments you have tried.
- That you have a community account in an app for people living with tinnitus, together with your sign-in email address and the username you choose.
- Safety flags and reports: a post that may mean someone is in crisis is flagged for a moderator, and reports you make about other posts are kept.
- Problem reports and emails you send us, which can include your device and your current sound settings.
We use this information only to run the community: to show your posts to other people who use it, to moderate it and keep it safe, and to reply to you. We do not use it for advertising.
Everything else in TinniMix that relates to your health stays on your phone, and we do not collect it: your tinnitus profile, hearing and headphone checks, diary, check-ins, TinniTracker marks, exercise notes, and anything read from Apple Health or Health Connect.
Where it comes from
Only from you: what you type and choose to post or send.
Health data we share
- Your community posts are shown to other people using the TinniMix community. Posts marked anonymous hide your username.
- We do not share consumer health data with anyone else, and we do not sell it.
Who receives it
- Other people using the TinniMix community, who can read your posts.
- Google (Firebase), which stores the community's data for us in the United States as our service provider, and may only use it to provide that service.
- We have no affiliates that receive consumer health data.
Your rights, and how to use them
You have the right to:
- confirm whether we are collecting, sharing or selling your consumer health data, and get a copy of it;
- get a list of the third parties and affiliates we have shared it with;
- withdraw your consent to our collecting or sharing it;
- have it deleted.
How to use them:
- In the app: delete any post you made, or delete your account and everything you posted right away in More → Community → Account → Delete account.
- By email: write to support@tinnimix.com from the address you signed up with. It is free, and we will answer within 45 days.
- To appeal: if we refuse a request, reply to our email to appeal. We will answer in writing within 45 days and explain our decision. If you are still not satisfied, Washington residents can contact the Washington Attorney General at https://www.atg.wa.gov/file-complaint and Nevada residents can contact the Nevada Attorney General at https://ag.nv.gov/Complaints/File_Complaint/.
We will not treat you differently for using these rights.
